Last call... T minus 12 hours!

Tomorrow is the MS Walk and I'm still pushing for sponsors. If you've already given to the cause, thanks so much - pictures and updates on the day will be sent as soon as I can!

I'm sure it slipped your mind, but here's your 2nd and last reminder... because I'm cool like that, that's just how I roll.

Remember: You'll be in your toasty warm bed, or slurping hot coffee in front of the tube, and I'll be up with the sun and hoofing it for the cause for my homey Shelley, my Moms friend Terry, my ex's sister and all of the other people that need it, EVERYWHERE!

Here's the link for "my page"...

If you can't give financially at this time, please keep Shelley and I in your thoughts, and hope they keep the coffee and donuts coming for us. Thanks a bunch!

Tim and Faith- Soul 2 Soul - August 10th

Many people have asked, and I'm so sorry I haven't reported in!!

Thanks again for voting for us for the contest- we didn't win, but I'm not sure how. I think the radio station excercised their right to pick the winners- the votes were never shown to the 'contestants;. But- whatever.

"JUST IN CASE", though, I had bought a floor seat ticket for myself the week before. Mike and I had previously planned vacation that week, so we had gone to see Tim and Faith in Tampa in June, knowing we'd miss it in Seattle. Once it was discovered the long awaited vacation wasn't happening (vacation was, leaving town was not) I bought a ticket, in addition to the attempt to WIN them on the radio.

My ticket was in the 5th row, seat 11- I knew the seat layouts, it was a concert in the round, with catwalks coming out 4 sides of the stage, that went all the way to the bleachers (unknowing lucky bastards at about row 10 in the sections at each side and ends would be surprised with a Tim-sicle in their faces!). I presumed that "seat 1" would be closest to the catlwalks going OUT from there- my seat 11 would be in the middle or close to the end of a row (likely near the traffic coming out of the bleachers.)

When I got to the Key, and walked down to the floor, the fella directed me to my row. I asked "are the chairs numbered?" He pointed to one close to him.. "Yes, #1 is here, and so om" (pointing down the row). So.. I started counting and walking and watching seat numbers GROW as I went CLOSER to the stage.

Oh No.

OH No.

OH NO!!

Oh my hell. I'm going to faint.. Seat 11- ON. THE. CATWALK. Baby! Wooty!

Oh my goodness... I had the best time EVAR that night. All guilt for the price I paid for the jacked up, overpriced, late-purchased floor seat ticket diminished after the 1st or 2nd time I gave Faith Hill a High-5, and then I almost screamed like a girl when Tim touched my hand. The band was fun and entertained us on our side of the stage when Tim or Faith were on the other. It was amazing.

I got some killer pics, too. I took about 100 that night- when it was over, the couple behind me asked if I'd email them some- they didn't know their seats were so good, nor that they could bring their camera. Of course, I agreed, and I've since sent them a CD of all of the pictures so they can do what they want with them.

There was a little girl in my same seat, 3 rows behind me that had a sign that said, "This is my first concert- I'm 7". Faith Hill gave her scarf that was tied to her microphone, she got 5-6 guitar picks from the band and right at the end, during his final 'rounds'- Tim scooped her up off her seat, gave her a smooch, then handed her back to her Mom- they (we?) were all SO SHOCKED! Of course- I was too delayed and surprised to snap a pic of that, but it was pretty cool.

Thanks again, to all who voted. I think we won, but eh- I think this was FAR better than the seats I would have gotten if I had.

Fire in the hills!

On our way out of town, headed home from my parents house, there was an AWFUL electrical storm. We came into a small podunky town called Lolo JUST after a fire had started from a lightening hit there.

I captured video of 2 helicopters dipping for water right near where we were, and then I took this pic of one of them headed around to drop their bucket on the fire. The clouds and sky were ominous, and the helicopter was loud. This is one of the best pics, I think. I didn't edit it, at all.

Kenny Chesney, etc...

We went to the Kenny Chesney concert last nite- courtesy of Mikes sister. We hadn't planned on going, but Mikes niece, Kayla, turns 16 next week, so her dad had bought her front row (well.. nearly front row- close enough to smell him) tickets, so we used the ones they'd previously purchased.

It was a long day- we went to lunch at the Crab Pot at 2PM, then headed for the show- 4:30 start time, and didn't . It was hot, we got sunburnt and probably sweated off a few pounds. It was a really good time, though- Mike hadn't been to a Kenny Chesney concert - Kenny is no Tim McGraw in my book, that's for damn sure, but we had a great time, and I managed to find Kalya and her Mom in the crowd and get a photo to show where they were. Shey got some pretty good shots of Kenny and the other acts- I'm excited to see those pics.

Anyway.... enjoy. I think we're pretty much concert-ed out for now. Our next one looks to be Def Leppard and Journey in August. We'll definitely rock out with our cocks out for that one. Don't worry- I'll take pics, you can be assured of THAT!

Vegas, Baby!

Went to Vegas for our good friends Bob and Jen's wedding.. it was tacky, yet refined, and a good time was had by all.

All these weddings taking place... when it's my turn, I'll be very ready- I've gotten so many ideas of what I will or won't do, that's for sure!

Enjoy the pics.

In 1996 I won a radio contest, sponsored by Coca Cola, and was selected to be a Torchbearer Escort for the Atlanta Summer Games.

I have my torch, I took it to work, and it got people talking... the people from the company paper asked for a photo, so here's the one they scanned- enjoy!

I WON! I WON!

I won a "LUNCH BREAK" from KMPS- Stubbs came to my place of employment, brought me a bag of goodies (CD's, water bottles, KMPS stickers, chap stick...) and bought lunch for me and 20. It was a great time!
